Details
A striking fusion of aviation heritage and sculptural design, this Poser Bar is built from a curated stack of original aircraft components—each one chosen for its story, its engineering beauty, and the way it contributes to the piece’s commanding silhouette.
At its base sits a reclaimed Airbus A330 brake disc, a weighty, industrial anchor that brings instant presence and stability. Rising from it is an authentic De Havilland Ghost flame can, once part of the legendary turbojet engine that powered early British aviation. Above this, a length of Lynx helicopter wiring loom introduces a thread of technical detail and texture, celebrating the complexity of rotary‑wing engineering. The column is crowned with various gearbox components, each one bearing the marks of its former life in flight.
The structure is finished with a solid spalted beech top, its natural figuring offering a warm, organic counterpoint to the cool precision of the metalwork. The result is a bar that feels both grounded and elevated—part artefact, part contemporary furniture piece.
Perfect as a statement drinks bar, a sculptural display point, or a conversation‑starting feature in any interior, this piece embodies Dappr’s commitment to craftsmanship, provenance, and the art of reimagining iconic materials.
