Details
A mirror with presence, history, and a beautifully reimagined finish. This piece is crafted from an authentic Stage 4 vane ring taken from a Rolls‑Royce Adour jet engine, the same powerplant used in the Hawk aircraft flown by the RAF’s Red Arrows. Once part of the engine’s internal airflow system, the ring has been transformed from precision engineering into sculptural design.
The component has been sand‑blasted and powder‑coated in a smooth grey, giving it a clean, contemporary surface while preserving the distinctive geometry of the original vanes. Its industrial origins remain visible in the form and structure, now softened and elevated through its new finish.
A mirror has been fitted to the reverse, and a chain has been added for easy wall hanging, allowing the piece to function effortlessly as both artwork and practical décor. The result is a mirror that celebrates aviation heritage through a modern lens—an artefact reborn with character, craftsmanship, and a story worth sharing.
