The Martin Baker MK4 Ejection Seat is made from an original decommissioned Martin Baker MK4 Ejection Seat from the de Havilland Sea Vixen aircraft (reg no. XJ571). The ejection seat was issued in 1967 and is from the starboard pilots’ side. The de Havilland Sea Vixen was flown by the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air arm between the 1950s and 1970s. It is a twin-engine, twin boom-tail, two-seater air defence carrier fighter aircraft.

The seat has been cleaned up, reupholstered in green leather and a wooden base has been added.
